EN-ROUTE
Snow is something rare where I come from so why waste a photo opportunity. I stuck my trusty Nikon out of the car window to capture some of the unusual scenery. Stabilised in post and cut to Awolnation’s “Sail”, I had to truncate the song due to running out of battery — my apologies, Aaron.
MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS
My cousin staged his a wedding in a most awesome location. I was there to shoot stills so was unable to do much video shooting for fear of missing some important stuff. The next day a bunch of us headed out to sea on some R&R and I discovered that the yacht’s captain had a GoPro…it had no screen at all so I had to press record, point it, and hope for the best. Came out pretty well I’d say.
WATERWAYS
A magic place, a perfect time of day and an awesome music track with a most appropriate title. It all just comes together so well. Yup, that’s me and my trusty Nikon again, hanging off the side of a boat this time.

NKANDLA STYLE
A little political fun whacked out on a Saturday afternoon! I loved the song but felt its video was kinda lame so I amped things up a notch with found footage on Youtube. It went viral, reached 300 000 views in less than ten days and was suddenly taken down due to a copyright claim on the soundtrack. I didn’t agree but honestly I didn’t have the motivation (or money) to contest it legally. The comments were a battlefield of note! Funny thing was, as soon as it was taken down, fans started uploading copies they had downloaded and so it’s still out there on Youtube to this day! Every copy that gets taken down is soon replaced by its fans. I love you all you crafty little buggers.
BETTY FRACKER P.I.
Opening title sequence for a web video series. The brief was “Seventies TV style intro with a Shaft type music score” – reckon I nailed it! After many revisions, new music and a change in direction the final sequence wound up considerably different. Still, I kinda liked this version.
